Assistant Attorney General in TX Exposed as a QAnon Conspiracy Theorist

Texas Assistant Attorney General Nick Moutous was revealed, in reporting by Media Matters, to be a QAnon believer who regularly shared hateful, racist, Islamophobia, and violent content on social media.

QAnon is, at its core, an antisemitic conspiracy theory. Its adherents believe that a Satanic cabal made up of of Democrats, largely Jewish philanthropists, and Hollywood celebrities and producers, are trafficking children both for sex and to use their blood.

Moutous worked in the Texas Office of the Attorney General beginning in 2017. He ran for Congress as a Republican in 2020, but lost his primary. He was terminated from his position as Assistant Attorney General shortly following Media Matters’ reporting.
