GOP Primary Candidates Appear at an Event with Holocaust Denier Nick Fuentes

IA-02 Republican primary candidates Dr. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Rep. Bobby Schilling (who formerly represented IL-17) spoke at an event alongside Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes. Fuentes attended the Charlottesville, VA, Unite the Right rally in 2017, where Heather Heyer was murdered.

Both Miller-Meeks and Schilling claimed not to know who Fuentes was at the time. News later broke that Schlling’s Field Director had invited Fuentes, and that Schilling’s daughter held a leadership position within the Scott County Republicans — the group that hosted the event.
