Jim Hagedorn, Who Ran Antisemitic Campaign Ads, Wins His Race for U.S. Congress

Jim Hagedorn (R-MN), who ran antisemitic campaign advertisements during the midterm elections, won his race to represent Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District in U.S. Congress.

Hagedorn’s history of antisemitism is not restricted to his campaign advertisements; In 2008, Hagedorn suggested that then-Senator Joe Lieberman’s (D-CT) Jewish identity motivated his vote in favor of the Iraq war, and in 2002, he joked about “fumigating” a memorial service for the late Senator Paul Wellstone, using antisemitic dog whistles about “Marxists.”

About the memorial service. Was it just me or did it not seem as if someone bailed out the union thugs; tree huggers; abortion rights feminists; peaceniks; citizens for gay animal rights; NAMBLA members and the other Marxist sympathizers who protested at last month’s IMF meetings, and transported them to Wellstone’s memorial in a slew of green buses? Talk about lefties all in one convenient location. Hopefully after the ceremony they fumigated the arena.
