The Trump Campaign is Selling Nazi-Inspired Merchandise

Bend the Arc: Jewish Action exposed that the Trump 2020 Presidential Campaign is selling an “America First” t-shirt featuring an eagle nearly identical to the Imperial Eagle symbol, or Reichsadler, used by the Nazis.

There is little daylight between the graphic on the campaign’s “America First” shirt and the Imperial Eagle. The resemblance is bolstered by the history of the “America First” slogan: The America First Committee, founded in the lead-up to World War Two, was a Nazi-sympathizing movement led by well-known antisemites like Henry Ford and Avery Brundage. One of the America First Committee’s most popular spokesmen, Charles Lindbergh, gave an infamous speech attacking Jewish influence and control over film, government, and press.

The Trump campaign and administration have made use of Nazi imagery in their messaging in many other instances, including a recent incident in which the campaign used a concentration camp symbol in a paid digital advertisement demonizing anti-fascists.
