Trump Organization Sells a "Trump" Baseball for Exactly $88 — a Number That Signifies "Heil Hitler"

On July 1, 2020, Business Insider reported that the Trump Organization was selling a “Trump” baseball for $88. The number 88 is a common Nazi symbol; H is the eighth letter of the alphabet, therefore 88 = HH, which translates to “Heil Hitler.” Soon after the article came out, the price was changed from $88 to $87.50.

This news came only several weeks after Facebook removed an ad from the Trump 2020 campaign that featured an upside-down red triangle, a symbol the Nazis used to mark political dissidents in concentration camps. On this same day, Bend the Arc: Jewish Action identified that the Trump campaign was selling an “America First” t-shirt featuring eagle iconography nearly identical to the Nazi’s Imperial Eagle.
